Christine Maynard is the concertmaster of the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, violinist with Coastal Strings and a free-lance musician. Her achievements include a Bachelor of Music in violin performance from Furman University, a Master of Music in Violin Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from East Carolina University and a Master of Science degree from ECU in Speech-Language Pathology..
Kathy Meyer, currently principal cellist of the Wilmington Symphony, has been a member of the Greenville, South Carolina and Des Moines, Iowa Symphonies as well as the Atlanta Chamber Orchestra, the Tallis Chamber Orchestra and Cape Fear Chamber Players.
Diane Stephens, a violinist with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Western Michigan University where she studied with Joseph Work. Diane has played in the Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids Symphonies in Michigan and the South Bend Symphony in Indiana. Later, Diane taught strings in the Fairfield Public Schools in Connecticut and played in the Bridgeport, Stamford and Norwalk Symphonies.
John Tabler is the Director of Music at the First Presbyterian Church, overseeing all the church’s music programs as well as the Music at First concert series. He is an active member of the Wilmington Chapter of the American Guild of Organists both as an organ and piano recitalist and accompanist. John studied at Shepard University in West Virginia and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music from Shenandoah University and Conservatory in Virginia.
